It is the fourth time that such an event has been held in Da Nang, attracting the participation of more than 30 Vietnamese and foreign speakers, 2,000 visitors, eight start-up projects, 20 investment funds and investors, and 80 display booths.
Da Nang Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh said through the festival the city wants to continue bolstering the connection of start-up ecosystems within the city and connect with other start-up networks in Vietnam as well as abroad.
The festival was also an opportunity for successful start-ups to share their experience and boost the morale of Da Nang’s start-up businesses.
Through an exhibition and a start-up idea competition, managers and investors will be able to find potential projects, helping to bring the best products and services to the public.
Da Nang is aiming to become a magnet for innovative start-up resources in the future.
Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung said that he expects Da Nang to become a start-up hub of the central region.
Key activities during the one-day festival included the debut of the Da Nang investment fund for start-up and innovation, a discussion session on start-up policies, experience and spirit, and an exhibition of start-up booths in various fields, such as IT, education, healthcare, high-quality agriculture and automation.
