Addressing the event, CEO of FPT Corporation Nguyen Van Khoa said that throughout its 30 years of operations, the corporation has discovered a methodology on digital transformation with three basic principles, including “think big”, “start smart” and “multiply fast”, of which “start smart” is the most important.

According to the figures released at the forum, about 76% of Vietnamese businesses (1.5 times higher than the world average) have not yet started to carry out digital transformation. The biggest problem for Vietnamese firms at present is that they don’t know where to their start digital transformation. In addition, companies have yet to find suitable models as well as partners who accompany and support them in the digital transformation process.

Khoa advised businesses to start smart digital transformation from the simplest things and as soon as possible, warning that those who do not implement digital transformation in a timely manner will be in danger of being eliminated and gradually disappearing in the market.

As part of FPT Techday 2019, FPT Corporation organised two thematic seminars entitled “Smart start in the journey of banking digitalisation” and “Smart start in corporate governance”, aiming to elaborate on the digital transformation ways that can bring about changes in efficiency, productivity, customer experience, and business model.

Within the framework of the forum, 46 pavilions were set up to showcase more than 60 products, services and digital transformation technology solutions that have been practically applied in many fields.

In addition, for the first time visitors to the event were offered with interesting experience in travelling on “made in Vietnam” self-driving vehicles developed by FPT Corporation. The autonomous vehicle technology is the solution of transporting people and goods automatically, aiming to address the needs of short-distance transportation in smart urban areas, resorts, warehouses and large factories.
