TechDemo 2019 was jointly held by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Gia Lai government.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy PM Binh said that TechDemo is a meaningful event that meets the needs of enterprises.

He stated that Vietnam’s technological development remains limited, therefore, ministries, agencies and local authorities need to fine-tune the legal framework for technological application and enhance the national innovation system with enterprises at the core, encouraging the creativity of the people.

The senior official also called on universities and research institutes to play a greater role in creating an innovative workforce, supporting enterprises to receive transferred technologies and improvements in the organisation of tech markets and tech trading centres.

TechDemo 2019 will run until November 26 and is the largest event ever held, with a wide range of activities combining technology demonstrations with technological investment promotion.

It is an annual event aimed at connecting supply and demand, and promoting research results and ideas that can be applied and commercialised.
