Viet Solutions contest promotes national digital transformation

The third Viet Solutions Contest (2021) was officially launched in Hanoi on June 10 by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC) and Viettel Group, aiming to seek solutions to promote national digital transformation.

With the message of "resonance to create a digital society”, the contest is open to individuals and organisations who are living, studying and working in all countries around the world.

The technological ideas and products focus on ten fields: healthcare, education, finance-banking, agriculture, transport - logistics, energy, natural resources - environment, industrial production, entertainment solutions - utilities, and business management.

Notably this year, the MoIC and Viettel Group will search for solutions to specific problems in the ten fields that were posted at www.vietsolutions.net.vn. The deadline for the entries is August 15, 2021.

The contest’s winner will receive a cash prize of VND300 million (about US$12,000); meanwhile the second and third prize winners will be awarded VND200 million (nearly US$8,715) and VND150 million (over US$6,536) each, respectively.

In addition, the participating teams will have the opportunity to become Viettel’s partners that enjoy profit-sharing of up to 75%.

The most outstanding teams in the qualifiers will be trained to improve their start-up skills by experts from leading economic universities such as Harvard, the International Angel Fund and famous CEOs.

The annual contest has found innovative solutions to help solve social problems, contributing to the implementation of the national digital transformation strategy.

After two years, nearly 600 projects have been submitted to the contest, with the total value of signed contracts reaching up to VND20 billion (over US$871,497).
