Vietnamese students win three gold medals at international Chemistry Olympiad

Vietnamese students secured three gold medals and one silver at the International Chemistry Olympiad 2021, as announced by the Quality Management Department under the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).

Specifically, the gold medals went to Nguyen Duy Anh and Nguyen Le Thao Anh from the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, and Pham Duc Nam from Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted in Hai Duong Province.

Nguyen Hoang Duong from Hanoi National University's High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences secured the silver medal.

The International Chemistry Olympiad 2021 was held virtually by Japan from July 25 to August 2, and saw the participation of candidates from 79 countries and territories.

Previously, Vietnamese students also achieved excellent results at international Physics, Biology and Mathematical Olympiads.

All 37 students who have joined Olympiads this year have secured medals, bringing home a total of 12 gold, 13 silver and 10 bronze medals.
