High school graduation rate at nearly 97%

The Ministry of Education and Training officially announced on August 27 that 96.88% of the students who sat the 2021 National High School Graduation Exam are eligible for graduation, up 0.2% compared to the previous academic year.

Accordingly, there were 981,773 candidates who took part in the first phase of the National High School Graduation Exam and 11,657 who took part in the second phase. An additional 12,000 candidates were also considered for graduation.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the exam was held successfully, ensuring seriousness, fairness and safety in the context of the many difficulties and challenges caused by the Covid-19 epidemic.

The Ministry of Education and Training adjusted the high school graduation exam plan into two phases, in order to ensure equal rights and access for students. The exam met the requirements of being compact and serious.
