The exhibition will be launched on the department’s website at archives.org.vn and the National Archives Centre 1’s Facebook page at facebook.com/luutruquocgia1.

The works on display will include more than 100 documents, moc ban (wood blocks), and ‘chau ban’ (royal administrative documents stamped with the Kings’ seals) in the field of education under the Nguyen dynasty (1802-1945).

The documents will be arranged into five topics introducing viewers to the opening ceremonies for the new academic year, schools, scholars and teachers, exams, and activities to encourage study under the dynasty.

Prominent among them are documents on the new school year opening ceremonies at the Temple of Literature in Hanoi, the operation of schools in the capital and other localities, and the preparations for examinations.
