Pre-schoolers and first through sixth grade students in Ho Chi Minh City to return to school from February 14

The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City sent a document to relevant units on January 25, to instruct on the organisation of direct teaching at educational institutions throughout the city.

Accordingly, educational institutions will officially welcome preschool children and students from first to sixth grade, back to school beginning on February 14.

The City People’s Committee requested departments, agencies, Thu Duc City People’s Committee and districts,to allow preschool children and students from grades one through six, to study directly, given the permission of their parents.

Starting February 7, schools will prepare to welcome children and students back to school.

In case parents have not yet agreed to allow their children to return to school directly, the students will continue to study online or by television, and receive lessons for self-studies, according to the guidance of the City Department of Education and Training.

Previously, as of December 2021, students from gradesseven to twelve, returned to school, in Ho Chi Minh City.
