After listening to the students, NA Vice Chairwoman Phong expressed her appreciation for their considerable efforts to overcome difficulties, stressing that the Party and State always attach great care and create the most favourable conditions for disadvantaged students.

She said she hoped that the scholarship recipients would continue their studies and equip themselves with knowledge in order to contribute to the development of their homeland and the country in general.

She hailed that programmes launched by the Vu A Dinh scholarship over its 17 years of operation have significantly contributed to improving human resources quality in ethnic minorities and island districts

She asked local authorities and relevant agencies to provide further support for ethnic minority students.

Since its launch in 1999, the Vu A Dinh fund has granted over 70,000 scholarships to students from ethnic minority groups and island districts. A number of practical projects have also been implemented under the fund, benefiting tens of thousands of students.
