The Hanoi study online learning system was developed by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to enhance the quality of teaching and meet the learning needs of students in the city as all schools remain closed as part of efforts to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

After being tested at 15 junior high schools, the system has been deployed to all junior high schools and high schools across the city.

In addition, the department has also directed and instructed schools in the city to streamline curriculum and broadcast lessons on television and the Internet so that students can study at home.

Teachers are responsible for guiding students to attend televised and online lessons and keeping close contact with their families to supervise their study on both the television and Internet.
