MoET urged to thoroughly prepare for national high school graduation exams

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam held a working session with the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) in Hanoi on June 17 to review preparations for the organisation of the 2020 national high school graduation exams.

According to a report by the MoET at the session, the Ministry has issued the exam regulations and organised online conferences with 63 provinces and cities to discuss preparations for the exams.

In addition, Departments of Education and Training have also reviewed and improved the examination and management software; and provided schools and students with information about the new elements of the exams.

Speaking at session, Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam said that the 2020 national high school graduation exams will be organized under the 2019 Education Law, which will officially take effect from July 1, 2020. At the same time, the organisation must be in line with the spirit of COVID-19 prevention and control.

Therefore, the Government and the Prime Minister will issue a specific directive, in which the MoET and the Minister of Education and Training are responsible for the exams in general, the Deputy PM said, adding that special attention should be attached to inspection and supervision work during the exams.
