The journal’s IF was 3.783 as announced by Web of Science on June 29.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc, former deputy director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi is the editor-in-chief of the journal.

The journal was first published in 2016 and after four years it was reviewed and put forward in the list of international journals to be given its IF index.

The Journal Impact of an academic journal is a scientometric factor that reflects the yearly average number of citations that recent articles published in a given journal received.

It is frequently used as a factor for the relative importance of a journal within its field and journals with higher Journal Impact are often deemed to be more important than those with lower ratings.

JSAMD was also the first Vietnamese journal to be put forward in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) via the Web of Science in late 2019.
