NDO – Four students from the Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted have won medals at the Nordic – Baltic Physics Olympiad, as announced by the Hanoi department of Education and Training on May 14.

Accordingly, Tran Dinh Dung brought home a gold medal, Nguyen Manh Duc and Le Duc An bagged two silver medals, while Dinh Tran Hai Chien was awarded the bronze medal.

This is the first time students from Hanoi have participated in the competition, which was expected to provide them with an opportunity to test themselves at such regional and international events and learn from experts and scientists from countries with a highly developed understanding of physics.

The Nordic-Baltic Physics Olympiad was launched in 2003 for high school students in the Nordic-Baltic countries.

This year’s competition was organised online from May 8-13 due to the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.
