Chairing the conference at the MOET in Hanoi were Minister Nguyen Kim Son, and Deputy Ministers of Education and Training: Nguyen Huu Do, Pham Ngoc Thuong, and Hoang Minh Son. Meanwhile, chairing at the localities were leaders of the People's Committees and leaders of the Departments of Education and Training of provinces and cities.

As planned, the MOET will organise the National High School Graduation Exams in 2021 with the same method as in 2020. The 2021 National High School Graduation Exams will take place on July 7 and 8.

Previously, a training conference on the 2021 National High School Graduation Exams was held in Hai Phong on April 12 and 13 with the participation of representatives from the Departments of Education and Training and public security force - PA03 of 63 provinces and cities directly under the Central Government. The conference thoroughly grasped the exam regulations, providing professional training on organising exams and using the management software for the 2021 National High School Graduation Exams.

The reference exam papers of the exam subjects were announced on March 31, helping schools, teachers and students have appropriate orientation in teaching, learning and reviewing to prepare for the exams. The exam question bank has been prepared to ensure the requirements, process and quantity for organising exam.

According to guidance from the MOET, candidates will register for the exams from April 27 to May 11, providing information regarding their personal information, exam subjects, and aspirations for admission to universities and colleges. Currently, the MOET is continuing to coordinate with localities to review and promptly support arising problems (if any) to ensure the interests of candidates.

The 2021 exams will take place in essentially the same manner as last year. Specifically, in order to achieve graduation, high school students must take four exams, including three independent ones, featuring Mathematics, Literature and Foreign Languages, and one custom test in natural science or social science chosen by the candidates.

This year, the content of the exam is in the high school curriculum, mainly 12th grade. The content of knowledge that has been cut due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic in the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years will not be included in the exam.
