In just the four weeks of September 2021, VNVC has handed over more than 5 million doses of AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccine to the Ministry of Health, promptly strengthening Ho Chi Minh City and other localities in that fight against the epidemic.

These batches of vaccines are under the VNVC’s order of 30 million doses with AstraZeneca in November 2020. To date, this historic contract of VNVC has brought in nearly 15 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine to Vietnam, protecting the health and lives of tens of millions of people, making great contributions to our country's fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the Ministry of Health, to date, the country has injected more than 38 million doses of vaccine, including more than 22.3 million first shots and 7.9 million second jabs, reaching 72% of the total number of vaccines distributed. The rate of injection of at least one dose of vaccine is 41.1% of the population aged 18 years and older.

About 14 million doses are currently being injected, of which about 10.5 million new doses have been allocated since September 16.
