More than 785,100 patients given the all-clear

More than 785,100 patients have been given the all-clear from coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 as of the morning of October 15, according to the latest statistics of the Ministry of Health.

With 853,842 confirmed cases of COVID-19 so far, Vietnam ranks 41st out of 223 countries and territories. In terms of infections per one million in population, Vietnam was placed 155th.

Since the fourth pandemic wave hit the country on April 27, 2021, Vietnam has reported 849,197 new cases, with 785,188 of whom having been given the all-clear from the virus.

Among 62 cities and provinces, four of them have gone through 14 days without new infections, including Bac Kan, Hoa Binh, Thai Nguyen and Dien Bien.

Ho Chi Minh City has still recorded the highest number of total infections at 414,744, followed by its neighbouring provinces of Binh Duong and Dong Nai, with 223, 959 and 57,122 new cases, respectively.

A total of 4,327 patients nationwide are currently in serious conditions. Over the past seven days, the country saw 104 deaths from the disease, lifting the death toll to 20,950.

As many as 57,457,092 doses of vaccine have been administered to people so far, with 16,802,200 people being fully inoculated.
