Hanoi steps up efforts to prevent COVID-19 transmission

Amid the complicated developments of the virus, the Hanoi Party Committee has called for enhanced efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure a safe and healthy Lunar New Year.

The leaders of districts and towns are required to direct the pandemic fighting forces to avoid being caught off guard in any circumstance, as well as to step up the inspection of people’s movement and the treatment of infected people and isolation of close contacts at home.

The Hanoi Municipal Party Committee also asked for more efforts to ensure the provision of adequate and timely care for infected people, especially during the Lunar New Year.

The Hanoi People’s Committee is required to continue reviewing the vaccination programme so as to administer inoculation for those who are not yet fully vaccinated as well as the booster doses.

The Hanoi government is also formulating plans for reopening schools on the basis of ensuring the safety of students.
