Built on an area of over 37,000sqm in Hai Chau district, the VND1.2 trillion facility has nine floors and a basement, with a capacity of 222 beds and is full of specialised equipment.

The newly-built facility is equipped with the world's leading modern medical equipment, such as a CT scanner 640, the latest version of endoscope HQ 190, and a hybrid operating room equipped with HD audio and video transmission systems, capable of connecting directly with leading experts around the world in order to coordinate in diagnostics as needed.

With a team of highly qualified personnel, combined with the world's leading modern facilities and equipment, Vinmec Da Nang is one of only four local medical facilities to be selected for serving the APEC Economic Leaders' Week, scheduled for November in Da Nang. The hospital is well-prepared to carry out any emergency work and medical examinations and treatment for the important event.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Prof., Dr. Le Quang Cuong, Deputy Minister of Health, stated that Vinmec Da Nang, together with three other hospitals in the city, will prepare for and fully meet the conditions for serving the important 2017 APEC Summit.

The operation of the new Vinmec hospital is expected to ease the overload at public hospitals in the city, while its Joint Commission International (JCI) for international-recognised hospitals’ accreditation criteria will also facilitate its services for both locals and international visitors when visiting Da Nang.
