She also expressed her sympathy to the patients, affirming that the Party and State always pay attention and devote resources to the care of the people's health.

The Politburo member praised the Bright Future Fund’s efforts in protecting and accompanying patients so that they can be confident and not alone in the fight against serious diseases.

Over the past seven years, the fund has mobilised financial assistance, supported treatment and presented gifts to 24,040 disadvantaged cancer patients nationwide, worth more than VND24 billion, while supporting cancer treatment drugs worth more than VND400 billion and providing screening services for early detection of cancer patients for over 78,000 people worth VND45 billion.

Mai also hailed the medical staff at Phu Tho General Hospital, who have constantly improved medical examinations and treatment and improved their professional capacity to better meet the people's healthcare needs.

On the same day, the Politburo member had a working session with the Phu Tho provincial Party Committee on mass mobilisation work, in which she stressed that the essential issues related to people's lives that have been paid attention to and solved in a timely manner are an important factor to create consensus and strengthen the people's trust in the local authorities.

She asked Phu Tho to continue to effectively implement the work of grasping people’s opinions through mass mobilisation work, through the evaluation reports of committees, authorities and state agencies, and through the mass media. Furthermore, the province should continue to improve the quality and efficiency of its mass mobilisation work and effectively implement the work on setting exemplary models by the local officials and Party members.
