Hundreds of people from the Northern provinces of Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Hung Yen, Quang Ninh and Ha Nam travelled to the general clinic from early in the morning to wait for health check-ups.

According to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dang Hung Minh, deputy head of the Clinical Department of Bach Mai Hospital, the branch of Bach Mai Hospital in Ha Nam has so far completed its first phase which can only provide outpatient and emergency services. In the cases of inpatient treatment or intensive techniques, patients will be transported free of charge to the Hanoi-based Bach Mai Hospital.

The branch in Ha Nam has a capacity of 1,000 beds and can provide health check-ups for 5,000 patients per day. It is designed as a modern general hospital with many departments to treat serious diseases.

After the completion of the project, local people will have the opportunity to access high-quality health services in Ha Nam without travelling to Hanoi or abroad.

The quality of the human resources and equipment of the branch in Ha Nam is ensured to be the same as in the Hanoi-based hospital, affirmed Director of Bach Mai Hospital Nguyen Quoc Anh.
