K Hospital’s satellite hospital in Phu Tho province announced

A ceremony was held in Phu Tho province, on May 27, to announce that Hung Vuong General Hospital at Chi Dam commune, Doan Hung district became the K Hospital’s satellite hospital and participating in Project 1816 of Bach Mai Hospital.

Hung Vuong hospital now has 16 faculties and rooms with more than 600 medical staff, including 114 doctors and 14 pharmacists.

This is the first private hospital in the country to become K Hospital's Satellite Hospital.

According to General Director of Hung Vuong, Pham Van Hoc, becoming a satellite hospital of K Hospital, Hung Vuong General Hospital enables officials and doctors to the K Hospital to practice in numerous fields.

In addition, the application of the model of K Hospital’s satellite hospital is expected to provide the highest standard of medical diagnosis and treatment for local people in the region, contributing to reducing the load on higher-level hospitals whilst making medical care more affordable for residents.

Hung Vuong General Hospital was established and put into operation from September 2010. Up to now, the hospital has become a prestigious medical examination and treatment address of many people from inside and outside the province.

Doctor Dang Thanh Hai, Director of Hung Vuong General Hospital, said that the hospital now has 16 faculties and rooms with more than 600 medical staff, including 114 doctors and 14 pharmacists. Especially, with the professional support of Bach Mai Hospital and K Hospital, Hung Vuong General Hospital has developed successful histopathology and surgical testing protocols.

Speaking at the ceremony, the representative of the Ministry of Health said that in order to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment for people not only in Phu Tho but also many other provinces in the northern midlands and mountainous region, every week, the K Hospital sent doctors to work and train at the Hung Vuong General Hospital.

In the near future, especially, some cancer treatment techniques will be transferred and implemented at the Hung Vuong General Hospital.
