Vietnam National Hospital of Pediatrics allowed to conduct Covid-19 tests

The Vietnam National Hospital of Pediatrics has been sanctioned by the Ministry of Health to conduct Covid-19 tests following a ministerial decision issued on March 7.

Earlier on March 6, the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology sent a document to the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management under the Ministry of Health to confirm that the Vietnam National Hospital of Pediatrics is capable of carrying out tests for Covid-19.

Vietnam now has 11 hospitals and institutes capable of conducting Covid-19 tests including the National Institute Of Hygiene And Epidemiology in Hanoi, the Ho Chi Minh City Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City, the Nha Trang Pasteur Institute in Khanh Hoa province, the Tay Nguyen Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology in Dak Lak province, the National Institute of Malariology Parasitology and Entomology in Hanoi, the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi, the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City, the Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi, the Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, the Hue Central Hospital in Thua Thien-Hue Province, and the Vietnam National Hospital of Pediatrics in Hanoi.

In addition, Covid-19 tests can be conducted by Centres for Disease Control in Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Da Nang, Ha Tinh, and Lao Cai.

Other facilities can also perform the tests, including the National Institute of Veterinary Research in Hanoi, the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Centrein Hanoi, the National Centre for Veterinary Diagnosis in Hanoi and sixregional branches of the Department of Animal Health.
