In his urgent message issued on late March 29, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said that the isolation and testing of persons who have been to Bach Mai Hospital from March 10 to 25 is decisive in preventing the spread of the disease in the community and helping to clarify treatment measures.

He requested local authorities in the city promptly review and quarantine all people related to this hospital, as well as taking specimens from persons subject to SARS-CoV-2 testing.

Local health facilities were required to enhance IT applications such as telephone appointments and hourly medical examinations to minimise crowds, while ensuring waiting seats are at least 2m apart and offering guidance to guests to wear face mask, disinfect hands, practice social distancing (over 2m) and minimise contact with those around them.
