Vietnam reports 96 new COVID-19 cases on June 13 morning

Vietnam logged 96 new COVID-19 cases, including 95 local infections, in the past 12 hours to 6am on June 13, according to the Health Ministry.

Among the locally-transmitted cases, 34 in Bac Ninh, 32 in Bac Giang, 25 in Ho Chi Minh City, two in Lang Son, one in Hanoi and one in Phu Tho. Of them, 73 were detected in quarantine or blocked areas.

The figure raised the national tally to 10,337, including 8,704 local infections and 1,633 imported ones. The number of cases since the fourth wave of the pandemic began on April 27 was 7,134.

As many as 3,827 patients have been given the all-clear so far, while the death toll was 58.

Among active patients under treatment at hospitals, 433 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, 112 twice and 73 thrice.

Twenty-one provinces have gone through 14 days without detecting new cases.

On June 12, additional 7,240 people in 16 provinces and cities were vaccinated against COVID-19. As many as 1.45 million vaccine doses have been injected to date. The number of people got full two shots was 54,385.
