Additional 100 local COVID-19 cases reported at noon June 14

Vietnam logged 100 new COVID-19 cases, all domestic ones from 6am to 12pm on June 14, according to the Ministry of Health.

Among the new cases, 69 are in Bac Giang province, 26 in HCM City, four in Hanoi and one in Ha Tinh. Of them, 94 infections were detected in quarantine sites and sealed off areas.

By June 14 noon, Vietnam documented 10,730 COVID-19 cases, including 9,093 local infections and 1,637 imported ones. The number of cases since the fourth wave of the pandemic began on April 27 was 7,523.

Of the patients still under treatment at medical facilities, 434 have tested negative with COVID-19 once, 73 twice and 74 thrice.

The death toll stood at 59 while there were 3,998 recoveries.

In a bid to live safely with the pandemic, people should strictly follow the Ministry of Health’s 5K message: khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering), and khai bao y te (health declaration).
