Chairing the meeting of the CSCJR in Hanoi on June 22, State President Phuc, who is also Politburo member and Chairman of the CSCJR, emphasised the need to strengthen the organisation and operation of the Committee to meet the requirements of leadership and direction for judicial reform, thereby continuing to renew, strengthen, and ensure the Party’s close leadership over the organisation and operation of judicial agencies.

The State leader suggested that it is necessary to continue to improve the draft of the project, especially specifying more clearly the functions, tasks and powers of the CSCJR in directing, inspecting and supervising the implementation of judicial reform tasks, in accordance with current Party regulations; and at the same time, organise a review of 15 years of implementation of Resolution No. 49 of the Politburo, 9th tenure on June 2, 2005, on the Strategy for Judicial Reform to 2020.

The consolidation of the CSCJR will make an important contribution to the study, formulation and implementation of the strategy to perfect the socialist law-governed state to 2030, with a vision to 2045, he noted.

The State President also assigned the Party Central Committee's Commission for Internal Affairs to acquire opinions and comments from the CSCJR and relevant agencies to complete the project and submit it to the Politburo for consideration.
