Various activities are being held across the nation to support the localities which are the current pandemic hotspots of the country in overcoming the current difficult period.

The Vietnam Women's Union has just held an online launch ceremony for the program "Millions of gifts to share love".

This is an event in response to the programme “Millions of gifts of great solidarity to assist southern people in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic” launched the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee

This activity aims to call on and mobilise members, women nationwide, organisations and individuals at home and abroad to promote the spirit of mutual affection and join hands to donate and support gifts to women, children and people living in provinces and cities that are facing difficulties due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Each gift, worth VND300,000 in the form of cash or in kind, will promptly reach people, members, women and children who are facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 epidemic so that they can rest assured implement social distancing measures.

* Continuing to support and accompany Ho Chi Minh City and many southern provinces and cities in preventing and controlling the epidemic, Phuong Trang Group (FUTA Group) has imported 99 new 16-seat cars (worth VND 1.2 billion per vehicle) from Thailand to convert into ambulances for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

* On the morning of August 28, the People's Committee of Ben Tre Province held a reception to receive medical equipment and supplies for the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic valued at nearly VND3 billion, sponsored by the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) .

* Kim Oanh Charity Foundation has donated 6,000 vials of Remdesivir (DESREM), 42,000 Rivaroxaban tablets and 84,000 Methyprednisolone tablets to Dong Nai Province to support the treatment of about 7,200 patients at medical facilities and self-treating at home.
