The remaining doses will be administered in full on September 13, said the department’s Deputy Director Tran Van Chung.

The Ministry of Health is expected to provide Hanoi with another 1.5 million doses such that all the capital city’s adult residents will be inoculated with at least one shot by September 15.

As of September 12, several districts have completed the target, including Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Soc Son, Thuong Tin, Hoai Duc and Bac Tu Liem.

Chung has asked local authorities to step up testing and establish mobile healthcare stations, especially in red zones where the risks remain very high.

On the morning of September 13, Hanoi reported an additional 22 cases of COVID-19, primarily in the hotspot of Thanh Xuan District, thus raising the total number of cases since April 27 to 3,802.
