Due to the influence of the northern edge of the tropical convergence band with the axis passing through the central region, combined with the disturbances in the high east wind zone, the northeastern and north central regions are suffering from moderate to heavy rains and very heavy rains in some places, with a common rainfall of 30-70mm.

During the thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds.

Particularly, the northern delta and coastal areas as well as Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces see heavy to very heavy rains, with average rainfall of 50-90mm and 120mm in some places.

Hanoi is receiving showers and thunderstorms sometimes and moderate to heavy rains locally.

In addition, due to the influence of the southwest monsoon, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in the central highlands and the south in this afternoon and evening, with moderate to heavy rains locally. During the thunderstorms, there is possibility of tornadoes, lighting, hail and strong winds.

High risks of flash floods and landslides are warned in mountainous; meanwhile, low-lying and riverside areas were warned of flooding locally.
