Ho Chi Minh City receives 4 million test kits worth US$16.38 million

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on September 22 received medical supplies worth VND373 billion (US$16.38 million) from businesses in support of the city's fight against COVID-19.

The medical supplies include 2 million rapid test kits manufactured in Switzerland, valued at VND250 billion, donated by T&T Group JSC and Saigon-Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank and 2 million quick test kits worth VND123 billion, which were produced in the Republic of Korea, granted by Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank).

Chairwoman of the municipal Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee To Thi Bich Chau acknowledged and highly appreciated the firms' assistance to HCM City.

She pledged to work closely with the municipal Health Department to distribute the test kits to the right persons and to the right purpose, contributing to driving back the pandemic and bringing the city to new normal soon.

From July 1 to September 21, Ho Chi Minh City received over VND2.1 trillion from 177 units, organisations and individuals at home and abroad for the fight against the pandemic.
