Binh Duong to reopen economy into ‘new normal’ state after September 30

The authorities of the southern province of Binh Duong said that they have agreed to reopen the economy and bring the province back to a ‘new normal’ state after September 30.

The information was announced at the virtual meeting held by the provincial Standing Party Committee on September 27.

The new normal state after September 30 will be implemented depending on the specific situation of each locality in the province and must ensure safety against the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, local people must scan QR codes to go out.

The People’s Committee of Binh Duong Province will work with neighbouring provinces and cities to agree on a traffic plan across provinces while announcing the detailed reopening in the inner province after September 30.

The province is also accelerating the testing of COVID-19 virus to detect F0 before September 30 and is making every effort to administer more than 100,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine per day.

Binh Duong has recorded nearly 204,000 COVID-19 cases so far during the fourth wave of the pandemic, with more than 172,000 patients discharged from hospital.
