Da Nang to return to new normal situation from 0:00 on September 30

The information was revealed by the Da Nang Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control at its meeting held on September 28.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang asked localities at this time to focus, and not to be negligent nor subjective because the source of the disease still exists. It is necessary to tighten management and supervision in epidemic prevention and control in districts, he noted.

Regarding vaccination for people over 18 years old and people over 65 years old, Secretary Quang asked relevant departments and agencies to coordinate in sending data and lists to wards and the health sector in order to accurately identify people who have been vaccinated as well as provide sufficient vaccine for people.

Localities should also review quarantine points at schools to return infrastructure to the education sector to prepare for the new school year, he said, adding that the education sector must also develop plans and ensure safe conditions for students to return to school.

According to a report of the Da Nang Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, the city recorded only 2 new infections between 13:00 on September 27 and 13:00 on September 28. Currently, the city has 49 out of 56 communes and wards in 7 districts with no cases in the community for 14 consecutive days and currently has no blockade areas.

The city took samples for testing from 19,608 people and injected 797,712 doses of vaccine; in which 713,142 people received their first shots and 84,570 people received their second shots.
