The rules apply to inter-provincial bus routes between areas with a high or very high risk and areas with similar or lower risk levels and vice versa.

For movement between medium and low-risk destinations, passenger transport services are permitted to operate as normal.

Under the regulations, passengers travelling from areas with a high or very high risk of COVID-19 must be fully vaccinated or have recovered from the disease within six months and possess a test negative for the virus from within the 72 hours prior to departure.

For passengers departing from low-risk areas, they are only required to present certificates of negative test results within 72 hours.

Drivers and service workers are also required to have been vaccinated with two doses or have recovered from COVID-19 within six months and have negative test results from within the 72 hours prior to travel.

During the pilot period, bus companies are allowed to operate no more than 30% of their total trips in seven days as licensed prior to the suspension of services.
