Quang Ninh receives anti-pandemic aid from China’s Guangxi province

The authorities of Mong Cai city, Quang Ninh province, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, received aid from Zhuang Autonomous Region in China’s Guangxi province at the management dividing line on the Bac Luan (Beilun) Bridge II on October 22.

The reception ceremony saw the presence of Consul General of Vietnam in Nanning Do Nam Trung and representatives of leaders of Dongxing city, China.

The donation, worth about US$9.7 million, includes 800,000 doses of the Verocell vaccine, one ECMO ventilator and other medical equipment.

This is the largest aid Zhuang Autonomous Region has ever presented to Vietnam, showing the affection of the authorities and people of Guangxi province for Vietnam.

The donated vaccines and medical equipment will be distributed to the northern provinces who share a border line with China including Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang and Ha Giang.

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Quang Ninh province and Zhuang Autonomous Region in Guangxi province have regularly supported each other through donating medical supplies to fight against the pandemic, demonstrating the solidarity, mutual assistance, friendship and effective cooperation between the localities of the two countries, contributing to the stable development of border areas.
