Portal of State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese launched

The State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a ceremony in Hanoi on October 23 to launch its portal at https://scov.gov.vn/.

Addressing the event, Deputy Foreign Minister Pham Quang Hieu, also Chairman of the Committee, affirmed that the Overseas Vietnamese are an inseparable part of the Vietnamese community and an important resource contributing to the development of Vietnam.

The Overseas Vietnamese also play a positive and significant role in promoting relations between Vietnam and foreign countries, he stressed.

He said that the committee’s portal is designed to cover the activities of Overseas Vietnamese around the world as well as provide information about the history, culture, land and people of Vietnam.

At the event, the committee also launched a survey collecting Overseas Vietnamese’s opinions on legal regulations and administrative procedures in relation to Oversea Vietnamese affairs.

Available at https: https://scov.gov.vn/?page=Survey.info, the survey is the first of its kind encouraging the Overseas Vietnamese to voice their thoughts and contribute ideas to existing policies, laws and administrative procedures related to Overseas Vietnamese affairs.
