The award was jointly held by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, the Vietnam Journalists Association, and Vietnam Television. It received nearly 1,200 entries in the four categories of printed newspaper, online newspaper, radio, and television by journalists from over 100 press agencies across the country.

According to VFF Vice President Phung Khanh Tai, the entries have comprehensively reflected the determination of the entire Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front as well as the close involvement of functional agencies and the enthusiastic participation of people from all walks of life in combating corruption and waste.

He hailed that many submissions focussed on the topic of praising and encouraging exemplary models in the fight against corruption and waste as well as in the prevention of negative phenomena among officials, Party members and public servants.

The winners of the award will be honoured at a ceremony scheduled in Hanoi on November 13. The award ceremony will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television Channel 1 (VTV1).
