Localities celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day

The Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry held a ceremony in Thai Nguyen Province on November 19 to celebrate the 39th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2021) and receive the Independence Order, second class, in the presence of Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan.

Over its more than 50 years of development, the university has been established as one of the leading universities for agricultural and forestry in Vietnam. The university has also stepped up international cooperation in education and training and conducting research, which have contributed to facilitating national socio-economic development.

The university was previously awarded the Labour Hero title in recognition of its ceaseless efforts and achievements.

On the same day, the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Education and Training organised a meeting to mark the Vietnamese Teachers' Day and awarded the Labour Order, the ‘Meritorious Teacher’ title, and certificates of merit from the Prime Minister to collectives and individuals with excellent achievements and contributions to the development of the education sector in the province.

A similar event was held by the Ben Tre Provincial Department of Education and Training to honour 57 outstanding teachers and educators in the locality.

Also on the occasion of the Vietnamese Teachers' Day, the Da Nang City Youth Union in coordination with the city’s Department of Education and Training held a programme to honour 31 young outstanding teachers who have attained excellent achievements at work while actively participating in social activities and positively contributing to the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic in the city.
