During the 2016-2020 period, 32 projects were implemented in three fields: science and technology, natural sciences and disaster prevention, and social sciences and defence-security.

At the conference, the scientists in charge reported the results of their research in each field. Natural science projects, for example, highlighted new points to serve the management of inter-regional and cross border land, water and forest resources.

Social science projects on promoting the linkage between the Central Highlands and south-central provinces, solutions to land disputes, maintaining political stability and security in the region, and so on, provide the basis for the Central Highlands development policy in the coming period.

Through such projects, scientists helped create 29 doctors, 54 masters and dozens of technicians on technology application and transfer for the Central Highlands.

They will be the high-quality human resources for the development of the Central Highlands at present and in the future.

During the conference, delegates proposed many measures to apply the results of the programme to reality.
