This is the first online shopping promotion programme to be applied specifically for workers to avoid gatherings at stores for Tet shopping, contributing to pandemic prevention and control.

The fair will take place continuously for 15 days, starting from January 14, and is expected to be maintained for the whole year.

Workers in need will be provided with vouchers to buy necessities for Tet, during the online fair.

The Ho Chi Minh City Labour Confederation will present 4,000 vouchers worth 300,000 VND each and Saigon Co.op will provide 4,000 vouchers worth 100,000 VND each, for disadvantaged workers in 21 districts throughout the city, to shop at the fair.

Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labour Confederation Tran Doan Trung said that the fair is a practical activity to bring about benefits for workers, while ensuring safety against the pandemic.

Director of Co.opmart’s operation division, Nguyen Ngoc Thang said that Saigon Co.op has prepared essential goods at reasonable prices, in addition to promotions and discounts to support workers to buy enough goods for the upcoming Tet.
