Deputy PM Le Minh Khai presents Tet gifts to Son La people

Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai visited the northern province of Son La on January 20, to work with local leaders and present gifts to disadvantaged people throughout the locality.

Son La recorded a 7.2% growth in the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector, and a 20% increase in budget revenue in 2021, despite many difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2022, the province has presented 22,000 gifts to policy beneficiary and people in need, additionally providing over 1,400 tonnes of rice to households in need.

Deputy PM Khai praised the positive results of the province, particularly the implementation of social welfare policies during the pandemic. He also asked the province to continue to implement measures to flexibly adapt to the pandemic in order to maintain production, create jobs for workers and fulfil socio-economic targets.

The Deputy PM presented Tet gifts to 20 national contributors, policy beneficiary families, people in need and pandemic-hit people throughout the province, during his visit.

*Nhan Dan Newspaper reporters in Dien Bien province, in coordination with the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Dien Bien Phu City, presented ten gifts to ten families of martyrs, wounded soldiers and victims of toxic chemicals, in Dien Bien province on January 19 and 20.

The gifts worth 1.5 million each,were donated by Nhan Dan Newspaper.

*The Military Command of Soc Trang province presented 450 gifts, six social houses, 40 bikes and 120 scholarships to policy beneficiary, disadvantaged people and students in need, throughout Soc Trang province on January 20, on the occasion of Tet.
