Nhan Dan Newspaper presents Tet gifts to needy people in Quang Binh Province

Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper representatives in Quang Binh Province visited and presented Tet gifts to policy beneficiaries and poor households in the central province on January 24.

Specifically, the newspaper gave ten gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, Heroes of People’s Armed Forces, families of fallen soldiers, wounded soldiers, agent orange victims, and poor households.

The Nhan Dan Newspaper representatives sent warm greetings from the Editorial Board of Nhan Dan Newspaper to policy beneficiaries and the poor.

This is among the humanitarian activities of Nhan Dan Newspaper, bringing joy to needy people during Tet (Lunar New Year) Festival.

* Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung visited, extended Tet greetings, and presented gifts to the Party committee, people, revolutionary veterans, meritorious families, poor households, and children with disabilities in Nhan My Commune, Ly Nhan District, Ha Nam Province.

At the meetings, Minister Dung expressed his deep gratitude to people with meritorious services for their sacrifice and contributions to the fight for independence and freedom of the country.

* Also yesterday, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union coordinated with the Saigon Beer Alcohol Beverage Corporation (Sabeco) held a programme to support workers and students in Ho Chi Minh City to return to their hometowns to welcome Tet Festival.

Accordingly, 2,000 students and workers who are living in difficult circumstances received free bus, train, and air tickets.

* On the afternoon of January 24, the programme “Spring of love” was held in the Mekong River Delta province of Hau Giang, encouraging and presenting gifts to children who are living in poor and near-poverty households.

* The northern province of Thai Nguyen officially launched a peak week for the poor on January 24, with various activities to support needy people in welcoming a joyful and prosperous Tet festival.
