Nhan Dan Newspaper’s delegation pays working visit to Bac Ninh

A delegation of Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper led by member of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and the newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh paid a working visit to the northern province of Bac Ninh on January 27.

During a working session with the provincial leaders, Minh, who is also Deputy Head of the PCC Commission for Communication and Education and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association, briefed the participants on the operation of Nhan Dan Newspaper in recent years, affirming the pioneering and vanguard role of Nhan Dan Newspaper in bringing the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies closer to the public.

He asked that press agencies in Bac Ninh Province to further promote communication work and become more active in adopting latest technology in journalism in their operations.

He also expressed his hope that leaders of Bac Ninh Province will continue to facilitate the activities of the Vietnam Journalists Association, the Provincial Journalists Association and press agencies operating in the province in particular.

On the occasion of the 2022 Lunar New Year, he extended his New Year wishes to the provincial Party Committee, authorities, and people of Bac Ninh Province, in the belief that that they will continue to gain many achievements in the coming time.

* The same day, a delegation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment led by Minister Tran Hong Ha visited and gave gifts worth 150 million VND to wounded and sick soldiers at Kim Bang Nursing Centre on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2022.

Gifts presented to disadvantaged workers in Thai Binh province.

* Thousands of Tet gifts were delivered to disadvantaged workers in Thai Binh Province at an event held yesterday by the Provincial Labour Federation to bring a warm and happy Tet festival to needy people.

* Nearly 600 social insurance books, more than 10,000 health insurance cards, and over 3,000 gifts worth more than 5.9 billion VND (260,600 USD) in total have been granted to disadvantaged people across 63 provinces and cities nationwide as part of the Vietnam Social Security’s Lunar New Year charity programme.

The annual programme, launched in 2020, took place from January 17 to 20, targeting ethnic minority people, those who have escaped poverty but do not have health insurance, people from near-poor households living just above the poverty line who have not participated in social and health insurance, people in difficult circumstances, and other disadvantaged groups.
