Minister of Public Security pays Tet visit to wounded veterans

Minister of Public Security To Lam on January 27 visited and presented Tet gifts to veterans who are receiving care at a nursing centre in Thuan Thanh District in the northern province of Bac Ninh.

Lam, a Politburo member, expressed deep gratitude to the veterans for their contributions to the cause of national liberation, construction and defence.

The minister extended his best wishes to the veterans for the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet), expecting them to be always bright examples for later generations to follow.

He also asked the staff at the nursing centre to strive to fulfil the task of caring for veterans, considering the patients as their relatives and the job as both an honour and responsibility.

* On the same day, Hanoi Party Secretary Dinh Tien Dung visited and inspected the work of the Hanoi Police Department’s Traffic Police Bureau and health workers at the Dong Anh District Medical Centre and the mobile healthcare station at Thang Long Industrial Park.

He shared the difficulties of medical workers and praised them for their efforts to keep the COVID-19 situation in the capital city in check.

* A delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee led by Secretary Nguyen Van Nen visited Tay Ninh Province on January 27 and presented Tet gifts to local disadvantaged households.
