Khanh Hoa extends Tet greetings virtually to Truong Sa soldiers

NDO - The central coastal province of Khanh Hoa held a virtual event on January 28 to extend Lunar New Year (Tet) greetings to people and soldiers in the Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands.

Khanh Hoa Chairman Nguyen Tan Tuan affirmed the significance of Truong Sa to both economic development and national security-defence.

He stated that Khanh Hoa Province and the whole nation always devote a special attention to Truong Sa to support the residents and soldiers in the archipelago in improving their standards of living, ensuring the effective protection of Vietnam’s sovereignty.

Tuan also informed Truong Sa residents and soldiers of Khanh Hoa’s socio-economic development results in 2021 despite the severe impacts of COVID-19.

For their part, people and soldiers in Truong Sa asserted their combat readiness and expected the relevant agencies to continue taking care of families with members working in Truong Sa.

On the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year, Khanh Hoa Party Secretary Nguyen Hai Ninh wished the people and soldiers in Truong Sa good health and a joyful spring.
