As many as 44 social houses worth 1.45 billion VND were also handed over to trade union members and workers living in difficult situations and also those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the ceremony, the city’s Federation of Labour awarded five collectives for their outstanding work performance in 2021.
A trade fair kicked off on the occasion, featuring 41 booths showcasing assorted essential goods and household appliances at discounted prices for workers.
Taking place throughout May, the Workers’ Month features various activities, including fairs at industrial parks, a knowledge contest on occupational safety and health, and a sports competition for workers.
The action month aims to better care for trade union members and labourers and encourage them to work harder to increase labour productivity.
