Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries in Cho Don district, Bac Kan province on May 17.

She handed over 20 gifts to poor students, families of policy beneficiaries, and revolutionary contributors in the district.

During the visit, the State official offered incense and planted trees at Na Pau National Historic Site in Luong Bang Commune, where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked in 1951, and offered incense at the Khuoi Linh National Historic Site in Nghia Ta Commune.

She also delivered gifts to a disadvantaged household in Bang Lung town and handed over 20 social houses to families of policy beneficiaries in the province.

Speaking to the leaders of Cho Don district, Vice President Xuan said she was touched to visit the historical sites, which witnessed the revolutionary activities of President Ho and the leaders of the Party and State during the national resistance war against the French.

She spoke highly of the achievements in Bac Kan province and Cho Don district in particular over recent years.

She asked local authorities to pay more attention to upgrading transport infrastructure, building new rural areas, ensuring social welfare, and caring for policy beneficiaries.
