Exhibition praises President Ho and Vietnam’s revolutionary press

An exhibition entitled ‘Standing up and Raising voices’ opened at Hoa Lo Prison in Hanoi on May 18 to celebrate the 132nd birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (1890-2022) and 97th anniversary of Vietnam’s revolutionary press (1925-2022).

Photos and objects on display recount historical milestones in the 97-year history of Vietnam’s revolutionary press.

The exhibits also highlight the role and influence of President Ho Chi Minh – an outstanding journalist who made great contributions to the country’s press development.

Following President Ho’s example, Vietnamese journalists have always embraced difficulties to raise their voice through their articles, despite being imprisoned or fighting in the battlefields. Many of them laid down their lives while doing their jobs, contributing to the country’s victories against foreign invaders.

The exhibition will run until December 31 at Hoa Lo prison, 1 Tran Hung Dao Street, Hoan Kiem district in Hanoi.
