A workshop entitled “Uncle Ho’s arrival at ATK Dinh Hoa, Thai Nguyen - The historic decision that ushered in the glorious victory of the resistance” was held by the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang said that the workshop aimed to further deepen the meaning and value of the special historical event of President Ho Chi Minh’s arrival at ATK Dinh Hoa, thereby expressing infinite gratitude for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh.
The workshop is also expected to contribute to educating the younger generation on historical traditions and revolutionary ideals while evoking and promoting the great endogenous strength of Thai Nguyen to become more prosperous, Thang noted.
The nearly 30 presentations of experts focused on analysing the strategic vision of President Ho Chi Minh, the Party Central Committee and the Government for the ATK Dinh Hoa, highlighting the activities of President Ho Chi Minh at ATK Dinh Hoa, as well as great contributions of the army and people of ATK Dinh Hoa in the resistance against the French colonialists.
Dinh Hoa ATK was the place where Uncle Ho and the Party Central Committee chose to base their command during the resistance against the French colonialists from 1947 to 1954. During the period, many important historical events of the nation took place, including the decision to launch the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
Previously, Nguyen Xuan Thang and other delegates offered incense at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House and broke ground to repair the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House at Deo De, Phu Dinh Commune, Dinh Hoa District.
