Smart Education Centre in Hai Phong opens

The opening ceremony of the Smart Education Centre in Hai Phong was held on August 3.

The ceremony was organised by the Hai Phong Centre for Continuing Education under the Ministry of Education and Training, along with representatives of Korean diplomatic and international cooperation agencies in Vietnam and the Hai Phong People's Committee Department.

This is a project supported by the Gyeongsangnam Department of Education (the Republic of Korea) under the cooperation programme between the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and the Gyeongsangnam Department of Education.

Accordingly, in the second phase, the GyeongsangnamDepartment of Education continues to support the construction of the Gyeongsangnam Smart Education Centre in Hai Phong, including technical support, equipment, and a machine room at vocational education and training institutions in Nghe An province and Ha Dong district, Hanoi, and also supporting teacher training activities on inclusive education and applying information technology in teaching for nearly 500 teachers nationwide.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Huu Do said that the model of the Gyeosangnam Smart Education Centre at the Hai Phong Centre for Continuing Education will be an important milestone to inspire Hai Phong education as well as Vietnamese education, to apply educational achievements that have been tested successfully in the Republic of Korea.

Smart Education Centre will contribute to spreading the new Korean wave in the field of education when Hai Phong'steachers have the conditions to learn advanced teaching methods of Korean education, allowing Hai Phong students to have more opportunities when choosing Korean as a foreign language to study.

The project also continues to promote the cooperation relationship between Hai Phong city in particular and the whole country in general with Korean localities, agencies, organisations and enterprises growing stronger, more extensive and more effective.
