Provinces urged to continue implementation of judicial reforms

Nhan Dan - A delegation from the Central Steering Committee on Judicial Reform (CSCJR), led by Party Central Committee member and National Assembly Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu held a working session with the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai on August 5 to inspect the implementation of the strategy of judicial reform towards 2020.

Speaking at the session, NA Vice Chairman Luu praised the province’s achievements in judicial reform and stressed the importance of following the regulations of prosecution and law.

He urged the province to continue its efforts to develop sufficient and highly competent human resources. Effective personnel management is crucial to ensure a transparent and strong judiciary, the NA Vice Chairman stressed.

The province should also pay more attention to investing in technical facilities for judiciary agencies and should further improve policies for judiciary staff, especially at the district level.

The same day, another CSCJR delegation led by Party Central Committee member and the committee's Vice Chairwoman Le Thi Thu Ba worked with the northern province of Yen Bai to discuss measures to boost judicial reform in that region.
